Apple has increased the maximum trade-in values for several of its devices, offering customers the opportunity to save more when upgrading to a new iPhone, iPad, Mac or Apple Watch.

The updated trade-in prices, first reported by MacRumors, apply to a range of Apple products, with increases ranging from $5 to $35 depending on the device.

The revised values are now available through Apple’s Trade In programme. Among the biggest changes, the maximum tradein value for the iPhone 16 Pro Max has increased from $685 to $695, while the iPad Pro now commands up to $690, up from $670.

The MacBook Air also received a notable boost, rising from $485 to $520. Apple’s Trade In programme allows customers to exchange eligible devices for credit towards a new purchase or receive an Apple Gift Card.

Even older models remain eligible, with devices such as the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus still qualifying for trade in credits of up to $35 and $40, respectively. However, Apple notes that the advertised figures represent the maximum possible value.

The final amount offered depends on factors including the device’s age, model, storage capacity and physical condition. The value may also be adjusted after inspection if the device does not match the condition described during the trade-in process.

Updated trade-in values for such devices range from iPhone 16 for $460 (previously $435); iPhone 16 Plus: $465 (previously $455); iPhone 16 Pro: $560 (previously $550) to iPhone 16 Pro Max: $695 (previously $685).
