The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) stressed the need for a digitally skilled public-sector workforce, saying AI adoption depends largely on the digital capacity of civil servants.
Speaking (via director Olawumi Dejo) at a Digital Skills Masterclass organised with Meta, DG Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi cited NITDA’s National Digital Literacy Framework (NDLF), built around six competency areas: device and software operations, information and data literacy, digital content creation, communication and collaboration, digital safety, and problem-solving. “Technology alone cannot transform institutions,” he said.
